— Meet Liz
Liz is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher at Yoga Sanctum who first discovered yoga in 2017 at Downey Yoga. What began as a way to support her running recovery soon unfolded into a much deeper practice. Through breathwork and meditation, Liz found that yoga not only strengthened her body but also built the mental resilience needed to power through every mile. As a devoted student of Vinyasa Flow, Liz experienced firsthand the profound benefits of connecting movement with breath—both on and off the mat. In her classes, she shares this passion, guiding students through slow, mindful flows that emphasize alignment, muscle activation, and inner strength. Liz believes that yoga, like running, is a personal journey—rooted in patience, perseverance, and consistency—with incredible rewards along the way. She encourages students of all levels to move at their own pace, reminding them that growth and strength are accessible to everyone, wherever they are in their journey. When she's not practicing or teaching, Liz can be found outdoors, embracing her love for camping, hiking, running, and swimming by the beach whenever the sun is shining.”
